We got footage of the World Title aftermatch from Hard to Kill, showing Tessa’s celebration with her family and the Impact roster and officials.

Josh Mathews interviewed Tessa Blanchard in Nashville. Mathews asked about if Tessa ever thought things would end like this and about oVe. Tessa said that she doesn’t think that she’ll ever be done with oVe, but her goal now is to set goals for females and wants to lead Impact as the face of the company and Tessa accepts being now the ‘hunted’ backstage.

Mathews asked about breaking the gender wrestling barrier, but Sami Callihan interrupted by playing a video on a screen they had there.

Callihan talked about how everyone talks about Tessa and Impact making history but it’s him that has been making history all along, bringing Impact back to life and carrying it for over two years (hes not wrong). He said that Tessa may be the champion Impact wants but he is the champion that EVERYONE needs.

Tessa started talking back to the television but Sami actually responded and revealed that he was in the production truck, telling her to come out looking for him. Tessa went looking for him but Sami wasn’t there at all. Sami told Tessa that she’ll never see him coming.

We get a big recap video for the Callihan vs Blanchard world title match. We get a recap of the Callihan vs. Brian Cage steel cage match, alongside Callihan vs. Blanchard from Slammiversary. Callihan blames Blanchard for taking his moment away from him and Blanchard talked about growing up in North Carolina and how her mother says she is as stubborn as her father. Her sister talked about how her kids love Blanchard. Tessa said she only saw one of Tully’s matches live before Magnum TA talked the famous I Quit match with Tully Blanchard.

Callihan said that he did everything he could as a kid to eventually get to pro wrestling. His family loved wrestling and his brothers grew out of it, but he didn’t. Both of his parents died when he was in his 20s and his family is now pro wrestling. He was on a tour of Germany when his mother died and his father said that he should stay there because she wouldn’t want him to miss out on his dream. His father died when he was in WWE developmental, but his father said before that to stay there and not deal with him.

We get a recap of their street brawl on the streets of New York is and she said that she knows what his goons are capable of, but they can’t stop her at Hard to Kill. Callihan said that everyone’s a sinner, but he’s a saint and the savior of Impact Wrestling. Blanchard said that she’ll make history not due to her gender, but because she ended the reign of the most vile champion in company history. Sami closes the segment by saying that he will bash her skull in.

Backstage: Gabby Loren interviews Tessa Blanchard. She asks Blanchard if she is nervous about what Sami Callihan is going to say about her later on tonight. Blanchard isn’t worried, in fact, she believes he’s the one that’s worried.

Here’s Sami Callihan to “expose” Tessa. She’s a fake and a phony, just like everyone sitting here today. People are saying this is something about gender but Sami should be looked at as a hero for spitting in her face, just like he’d do to any man in the back. The fans cheer for Tessa but they have more in common with him. Tessa is the daughter of Tully Blanchard and was raised by Magnum TA.

Sami earned everything he has and became the face of the company by winning the World Title. His dad never got him a tryout so here’s a livid Tessa. Mad Man Fulton jumps her from behind though, meaning the beatdown is on. Ken Shamrock makes the save but Fulton goes after his bad ribs. Sami and Tessa fight to the back where they brawl in front of some fans. Sami punches one of them by mistake before sending Tessa face-first into the production truck.

Tessa shrugs that off and they brawl on the sidewalk. Another ram into the truck rocks Tessa and Sami chokes her with some caution tape. Tessa gets in another shot though and they brawl down the sidewalk with Tessa diving out of the back of a truck. Sami chokes her down and Tessa goes after him until referees FINALLY break it up to end the show.

We then see footage for a press conference with Matthews and D’Amore talking about Tessa Blanchard vs Sami Callihan at Hard To Kill. Tessa said that she would be professional in her quest and praised Callihan’s work in the last few years. Callihan said that Tessa was a spoiled brat and that she was what was wrong with the new generation of wrestlers because she got everything handed to her. Callihan said he should be glorified for being the only one who actually treated Tessa as an equal, and on January 12th, he’s going to “crack her f***ing skull”.
